On My Mind

I've been ranting about politics because I thought I was in the minority. But after last week's demonstrations all around the world I feel better. Hundreds of thousands of people get it. Unfortunately, Bush says he won't let the voice of all these people deter him from war. He's being a cowboy. He still thinks Hussein is a threat to peace when it is obvious to the whole world that Bush is the threat to peace.

The thing that brought the Soviet Union was not the U.S. nor its enemies. It was their arrogrance and over spending in trying to conquer the war. I fear that the enormous amount of money that will be spent to carry on this war in addition to the other expenses will overload our budget and cause a financial melt down from which we will not be able to recover.

Off My Chest

And now from the profound to the mundane. I am a reality tv fan. I watched with 40 million others the last episode of Joe Millionaire. I was moved even though I don't think that Zora and Evan will last.

The reason why I like reality tv is because the reactions are not scripted. I realize that the situations aren't very realistic but the emotions are real and unpredictable.

I do recaps for the Bachelorette. I am not really looking forward to the finale like I did with "Joe." I know how it will end. If Trista doesn't pick Charlie, I will be totally amazed. I don't much like Trista. Her little girl voice is starting to grate on me. I don't know why she turned on Russ. I know I'm in the minority about him. I found him handsome and shy in spite of his bravado. I thought he was very sincere.Ryan is a cutie but he is not the guy for her. I think Charlie is too something. It's not smooth. Maybe it's controlling and manipulative. Just like Trista. Hey, maybe they do belong together.

Don't care. I'm just glad that assignment is over soon.
